Rise is a unique two player co-op game that aims to bridge this gap. This game will connect two strangers online with limited communication between the two, pushing them to showcase their unique ways of expressing themselves. The main aim is to shed light on the communication difficulties autistic people often face, encouraging understanding and empathy. In addition, the narrative of the game will highlight other symptoms of autism, providing more meaningful representation of the spectrum. By enhancing awareness, it will also help individuals recognise potential signs of autism within themselves. This game aims to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all players to learn about autism.

There is a current issue that stems from the lack of autistic representation in media — movies, books, video games etc. — which creates a limited understanding of the spectrum. Many people are not familiar of the lesser known symptoms of autism and therefore are unaware whether their actions are harmful to other people. Due to this lack of awareness, it creates a rift between neurodivergent and neurotypical people. This game aims to bridge this divide and create an inclusive and supportive environment to learn about autism.
